Founded in 2000 by Stuart Simon and Dan Watson, the management team has grown to include Terry Bias, Kyle Simon and Matt Simon.The founding principles of honesty, competitive pricing, completion of work on time and simply living up to one’s word have never wavered. The team’s commitment to honoring these principles with every client and project is evident in the fact that over 80% of our Company’s business is with repeat clients.

Simon & Watson Construction, Inc. sets itself apart from its competition in many ways. In today’s world, most contractors are simply brokers who subcontract out all of the trades work. Simon & Watson self-performs a majority of their work, including but not limited to:
- Foundation excavation and backfill
- Tying and placing rebar and mesh
- Forming and pouring concrete foundations
- Installing metal and wood stud framing
- Installing drywall and finishing
- Installing all carpentry items such as: blocking, doors, frames, hardware and toilet accessories
- Installing acoustical ceilings
Self-performing these trades keeps us competitive by not having to mark-up a subcontractor’s number, it also gives us the ability to control the schedule and get the work done in a timely manner.
Dan Watson
Dan began his career in the construction industry in 1977 as a laborer/carpenter and worked his way through the industry in operations working for three major Charlotte contractors. Prior to forming Simon & Watson Construction, Inc. Dan was Vice President/General Manager of a large local firm.
Dan is primarily responsible for all operations of the company.
He has a Civil Engineering degree from The University of North Carolina-Charlotte and has lived in the Charlotte area since 1979.
Stuart P. Simon
Stuart began his career in the construction industry in 1978 working for a custom home builder as a carpenter during high school. He worked his way up through the industry in pre-construction, working for three major Charlotte contractors. Prior to forming Simon & Watson Construction, Inc., Stuart was the Director of Pre-Construction of a large local firm.
He has a degree in Construction Management from Bowling Green University and has lived in Fort Mill, South Carolina since 1987.
Due to the complimentary backgrounds that Dan has with Operations and Stuart with Pre-Construction, it has a natural fit for the two to combine their expertise and to work together as a team. Both Dan and Stuart have a strong work ethic, the courage to do what is right, treat people fairly and an eagerness to provide personal attention to each client and project.
